Vertical practice, Castlewood Canyon from 10am-3pm

SINGLE ROPE TECHNIQUES PRACTICE SESSION

Location: Castlewood Canyon State Park

Directions from Colorado Springs: Take I-25 North to Castle Rock
                                                         Take first exit (#181) in Castle Rock
                                                         Drive north through town and turn right onto hwy 86
                                                         Follow Hwy 86 for approx. 7 miles toward Franktown
                                                         Turn right (South) on Castlewood Canyon Road
                                                         Stop at entrance gate and pay daily use permit fee - $5
                                                         Drive up the road and park at Climber’s Trailhead
                                                         Hike up the trail and find the cavers on the cliff face

What to bring: Personal ascending/descending equipment
                        Helmet           
                        Leather gloves
                        Rain gear/warm threads
                        Lunch/drink
                        Sunscreen

During our monthly meeting the annual auction will take place. Bring your auction junk.

Elected officers must be a member in good standing with the NSS.

Bring food for a potluck. More information will be posted as the event approaches.
